    Medicare does not pay for routine eye exams or corrective lenses. But if you have vision issues, such as glaucoma or cataracts, Medicare will cover at least a portion of your treatment.

    Medicare will pay for some of the cost of eyeglasses following cataract surgery. Your Medicare approved supplier that accepts assignment can tell you how much the Medicare allowance is for your eyewear.
