    If you are eligible for free Medicare Part A and start receiving Social Security benefits at age 65, you will be automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A. To purchase Medicare Part A, you can go to go to your local Social Security Office, or call 1-800-772-1213. There they will tell you your Part A premium and how to proceed.
