Aricept is often prescribed to treat symptoms of senile dementia or Alzheimers. When covered, the drug would be part of your Medicare Part D plan. There are generic equivalents, such as Donezepil which is $10 for a 30 day supple vs over $400 for Aricept. Some drug plans will not cover brand name drugs when a generic equivalent exists.
