    This is a great question. Many Medicare Beneficiaries think that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) requires them to purchase additional insurance to supplement Medicare. The truth is, Medigap is not required.

    However, many seniors purchase a Medigap policy for peace of mind and long term protection. Without a Medigap policy, you are vulnerable to unexpected health costs that can be detrimental to a fixed income.
