    Most everyone with Medicare Part A should also have Part B. There are exceptions to this generalization.

    If you have employer group health insurance and Medicare you should know which plan is primary, which is secondary before enrolling in Part B. If your group health plan is a retiree plan, Medicare is primary and you may not need Part B.
