    It depends which Medicare premium you are speaking of.  If you are referring to a Medicare supplement plan then you should have an independent agent review your plan to see if there is a better option available on the market.  New plans and carriers come out all the time so if you have had your plan for a few years you might be able to save some money.

    If you are referring to your Medicare Part B premium, that is around $105 per month for most people (as of 2014).  However, if you have worked in the last 2 years your premium can be higher based on your income.  Basically the more you make the more your Medicare Part B premium will be.  I wrote an article on how to figure this out last year that will give you more details.  If you copy and paste this in your web browser you will be able to read the article in full along with a income chart and the Medicare Part B premium that goes along with the higher income brackets.  Click the link...http://summitmedigap.blogspot.com/2012/10/medicare-premiums-cost-of-part-b.html
