   Yes, Medicare will pay for an insulin pump under Medicare Part B as "durable medical equipment" if is prescribed as medically necessary by a Medicare participating doctor, and is purchased through an approved Medicare provider. Those who are eligible will have type 1 diabetes, or type 2 diabetes that is difficult to control, or gestational diabetes that is difficult to control.
