The cost of Medicare will almost certainly go up in 2014.

The cost of health care is rising, the population is aging and not getting any healthier. In addition, utilization of medical services continues to rise at a staggering rate.

Unless Congress yields to political pressure, you should anticipate your Medicare Part A and Part B deductibles to rise along with your Part B premium. The only remaining question is, how much will these costs rise?
