Each carrier has specific guidelines. There are some carriers that have animal liability excluded on your policy. I would contact your carrier or a local agent and they can discuss what each carrier that they have available and the coverage's they offer.
Some carriers will also cover damaged caused by the animal but not if the dog bites someone. Read through your policy and see if you see in the exclusion portion if that is covered.
