It is never wise to drive a car that is not insured. The period of time you can drive without insurance is governed by state law. Additionally, it is also governed by common sense. The risks of operating a car are far too great for most people to afford.
That is a great question! The short answer is that you can not drive at all legally without auto insurance. The penalties for doing so are very stiff, and have long lasting effects. It is much better to have a minimal policy than none. Please contact an agent that can help you find a policy that you can afford. If you would like some help, please feel free to contact me, I'm happy to help. Thank you for asking!
