Several carriers write major medical insurance in Georgia, including Aetna, Blue Cross, Humana, Cigna, Kaiser and United.

Each carrier has their strong points and weaknesses. Some offer plans that do not cover brand Rx or will only cover generics and a few brand name drugs.

Currently (2013) there are no plans that include maternity benefits, and no carriers that offer child only coverage.

I suggest you talk to a local agent that is familiar with several carriers and can explain the benefit of each.
