Your homeowner’s policy covers damage to your home and personal property caused by one of the named perils. It is difficult to imagine a situation where the policy would cover damage to a driveway, however, it could happen. The effects of animals are specifically excluded and would not apply here, I don’t believe. You should not expect your insurance policy to pay for items that would fall under the classification of fair wear and tear.

When you asked the question "Does Homeowners Insurance cover driveway repair,"? It all depends on what caused the damage. It will not cover any repairs due to normal aging process. If your driveway is part of the main structure and the house was burnt down and needed to be rebuilt then the driveway may rebuilt. Just because your driveway is old and you need it repaired may not be cover. The key thing to remember is what caused the damage? normal aging process or a covered peril?

The only instances that I am aware of claims being paid for paved driveways are when the damage is caused by a covered peril such as a tree falling and damaging it. I don't think that rabbit tunnels and ant holes would be covered under any of the perils of a homeowner policy.
