You can go for either a guaranteed issued policy which asks a few health questions or fully underwritten if you have not hospitalized recently from your bipolar disorder. The things that would cause them to NOT get a medically underwritten policy are a recent hospitalization for bipolar disorder, not having had at least year of stability, or being on Disability specifically for bipolar disorder.
