		<description><![CDATA[Insulin is covered under Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. The usual co-pays for insulin are 45 to 47 dollars. If you use an insulin pump Medicare Part B may cover your insulin as well as the pump. If your insulin and the pump are covered by Part B of Medicare then once you have met the Part B deductible of $166 Medicare will cover 80% of the cost for the pump and the insulin.  If you have a Medicare Supplement it will cover the 20% Medicare leaves off.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Insulin is covered by Medicare Part B if the insulin is administered by insulin pump, but not if it is injected by a syringe or pen. However, Medicare Part D drug plans cover insulin regardless of how the insulin is injected into the body. For a person to be able to be covered for insulin pump, they must have type 1 diabetes, or have hard to control type 2 or gestational diabetes.]]></description>
