What retirement plan is best for small business? In my opinion I feel SIMPLE plans offer a great value to small business employers who want to set up a qualified plan that is easy to install, easy to account for and simply easy to maintain. What's that like three "easys" and we're talking qualified plans? That should sell anybody to at least look at the simple as an option.

The definition of small business may be at play here with my answer. Retirement plans have set up costs and ongoing expenses. Some plans hold the business owner responsible for compliance, an addition cost for implementing certain ERISA plans. I recommend non-qualified discriminatory life insurance plans as cost saving alternative to conventional approaches to qualified plans.
