   If the question refers to a refund most insurance carriers refund within a week but some do take longer. If the question refers to a loss on a vehicle such as a total loss, the monies will not be sent out until the claim is settled between the insurance company and the insured. This would mean the insured has relinquished the title over to the insurance company. After all signed documents and title are received the checks are almost immanently issued in most cases. If the question is in relation to a subrogation or return of a deductible this is dependent on the 3rd party or the insurance company who ultimately had to pay out. In this case I have seen this drag out for months and in worst case scenarios years. Always talk to your local agent to find out the process on any of these situations.
