Most health insurance plans, including major medical, supplemental health plans and Medicare do include coverage for individuals on a cruise.

A cruise that is limited to the coastal United States and does not venture in to international waters is fine, but once you leave the states your coverage may have limits.

Medicare beneficiaries with certain Medigap plans and traveling outside the United States have $50,000 of supplemental benefits. Some Medicare Advantage plans also include coverage outside the states

Anyone traveling out of country should consider an international travel medical plan to supplement their regular health insurance (including Medicare).
