With Group Health Insurance, when you see "EE" this typical refers to the Employee by themselves.  A lot of group health insurance carriers structure their pricing and use the follwoing abreviations like this:

    EE  - Employee Only
    ES - Employee / Spouse
    EC - Employee / Chid(ren)
    F - Family

Somtimes you see it like this too, again with Ee refering to the employee:
    Individual
    Ee/Spouse
    Ee/Child
    Family
