It is absurd that I am being pitched by NFCU to accept complimentary life insurance coverage from CMFG, and yet nowhere online can I find out exactly what CMFG stands for! That is not good enough! If those letters do not represent a particular name, then why keep them and continue using them? I would like to accept and even pay to enhance the coverage but will not do business with any company that cannot account for something as simple as an initialism, nor would I even work for such a company. CUNA may well be a very reputable company, but where is the sense in this? It is insulting and looks as if they are trying to lose a bad name or reputation. I want to know!

Having no luck finding anything with a search on CMFG, I followed a hunch and tried "CUNA Mutual Financial Group". Per this web page, http://www.looktowink.com/2013/12/a-m-best-affirms-ratings-of-cuna-mutual-financial-group-inc-s-life-subsidiaries/, it appears to me that CMFG does stand for CUNA Mutual Financial Group, Inc. Hopefully this will help you research the company on a deeper level.
