There are life insurance programs that do not require medical exams. Younger people who apply for smaller amounts may not be asked to get a paramedical exam. Usually as the applicant gets older and the amount applied for increases, the medical requirement becomes a standard requirement.

Even though an applicant's age and amount being applied for might not automatically require an exam, the company has the right to ask for an exam if they feel it necessary.

Yes. Most senior whole-life policies do not require a medical exam if you apply for $25,000 or less with most companies. Some even go as high as $75,000 with seniors in their 60's and 70's and just base the policy off their answers to health questions and RX checks.

Much larger policies can be issued to younger adults and children with no physical exam.

There are life insurance policies that do not require an exam for every age of applicant. There are options for every type of health. There are term policies, universal life policies, and whole life policies that do not require an exam. No Exam life insurance can be purchased in face amounts up to $500,000.

Some agents say that you will pay more if you buy nonmed life insurance, but that is not always the case. If your health is very poor, No Exam life insurance may be the only option available to you. If you think you are healthy but not sure, life insurance that does not require an exam might cost less than if you took an exam and found out your cholesterol was over 300.
