Osteopathic treatment is usually covered under Medicare Part B. If the underlying condition being treated is considered medically necessary, your treatment plan is also covered.

Doctors of Osteopathy are licensed to practice traditional medicine and surgery, but some also rely on manipulation of the spine and joints. Sometimes the manipulation is part of a routine regiment and is not treating a specific illness and may not be covered.
