Most agents will want to come to your home and explain options. Some agents understand you may not feel comfortable inviting strangers in your home and will handle everything by phone, email or USPS.

If you buy from a carrier or through Medicare you are giving up personal service. Any questions will be handled by whoever answers the phone.
If you don't mind strangers in your home, you can invite one (or more) agents to come to your home and pitch you on the various plans.
