In Canada a group Registered Retirement Savings is simply a company sponsored RRSP. It is covered by the same legislation as an individual plan. In most cases the company (employer) is making a contribution to the plan and / or paying some or all of the administration costs. It is often used as as substitute and sometimes as an addition to a company pension plan.

If you would like to work with a local Retirement Planner, you could start with a Google search. For example if you search for: retirement planner Halifax or retirement planning Halifax, my name along with several others will come up. You can use the same method to find Retirement Planners in your community.
