    As long as you reside in the same home as them you could remain under their coverage indefinetly. In Wisconsin at least all licensed drivers in the household must either have there own insurance or be listed on active policies within the househould. Every state has its own regulations and every company its own standards please contact your local agent to find out what is available in your area.

    An additional consideration is if you are a student and you are away at school.  Many auto insurance companies offer an endorsement to your current auto policy that will cover a student who is out of the home, but attending school.  You will need to contact your agent or insurance company to determine if there are any limits, such as either being out of state or attending school full time.
