You need the type of auto insurance that will provide the specific benefits that you are required to have at the lowest possible cost. However, keep in mind that stat minimum limits are simply a benchmark of coverage so you can comply with the law. If you can afford higher limits, they should be strongly considered.

If you have an older vehicle, of course, you will not need collision coverage which will help your premium. You may decide to eliminate comprehensive coverage as well. Specialty or antique vehicles will require special policies or riders.

Shopping and comparing will help you find affordable car insurance from top-rated companies. Yes, there are a few dozen very reputable carriers and doing the research is not fun. Experienced brokers and reputable websites can save you time and money. There is no fee and the level of expertise and unbiased help is high.

That is a very open ended question. If you have loan on your vehicle or if the vehicle is less than 10 years old, I would recommend Collision, other than collision, rental car reimbursement, and towing in addition to the base coverages ( which typically are bodily injury, property damage, uninsured motorist, and under-insured motorist). Additional coverage may be appropriate depending on your situation. Please contact a local agent to discuss you needs and wants for coverage so that they can provide you with information about what they have to offer.
