    Most disability plans will exclude preexisting conditions.  A company is not going to pay for a disability caused by a known problem.  For example if you are being treated for a bad back and become disabled for a back issue as a result, the company would not pay.  The condition will usually be excluded in writing or the policy in some cases may be declined.
