Great question! Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to find out. Privacy laws will prevent insurers from sharing who has or doesn't have a policy with them, and frankly, there are really very few reasons why you would have a right to know. If it is for a parent, or a loved one who suddenly passed and left their affairs unsettled, then their lawyer or financial adviser may be able to help you, but unless you are entitled to know, I wouldn't count on them telling you either. I'm sorry that this isn't a very positive answer, but if you would like to discuss it further, please contact me. Thanks for asking!
