The best homeowner’s policy is the one that pays the maximum amount allowable when you have a claim.  That policy is best purchased from a licensed trusted insurance agent.  If you don’t have an agent, get a referral from a friend, colleague or neighbor.  The trusted agent will listen to you, provide sound financial advice and communicate clearly with you and the insurance company.  The distinguishing mark of a good policy is that the limits are high enough to make you “whole” in the worst case scenario.
