Home insurance covers burglary, although a deductible may apply. Also included in coverage would be the damage to a door (for example) and any resulting damage along with personal property that may have been stolen.

Theft is one of the primary c overages on a homeowner's policy along with fire, vandalism and wind damage.

Home Insurance does cover this but some carriers may require proof of forcible entry your deductible may apply. in some cases your deductible is higher then the theft amount which in that case the carrier will pay nothing. This is part of coverage "C"
I recommend you call your agent and discuss what your options are and also the value of the items stolen and if there was any damage to the structure that make sure the area is secured to prevent any further loss
