Yes, I have companies that will issue policies up to age 85.  I even know of plans that have no health questions.  You have to pay more, but if your health is bad, they can be of help unless you are terminal and die within 2 or 3 years, in which case you will only get a percentage of the death benefit.  If you are in reasonably good health, their are simplified issue plans that will pay the death benefit with no waiting period.

The simple answer to the question is YES. Depending upon your health, the policy can be issued. New York Life issues Life Insurance to folks up to age 80. The price will depend entirely upon your health. How often do you see a doctor? What for? Do you have regular exams? Do you take medications? How many and what for? I would love to talk with you about your needs. Gary Lane, Registered Representative, New York Life. 949 797 2424.

YES, there are products available which will cover up to age 90.  The death benefit may be limited as final expense policies generally are no more than $50k.  The Final Expense policies are what we call simplified underwriting where no blood/urine or exam is required.

Being age 75, your options are greater with an unlimited death benefit providing you qualify for the amount and as Gary said, the premium will be affected by your current health and medical history.

Be sure life insurance is the right answer to meet your needs.  Be forthcoming with your agent so you get the best possible strategies and solutions to your needs.

Yes, a 75 year old person can get life insurance with many different life insurance companies. Most of the options will be Universal Life or Whole Life at this age, but there are a few Term policies available at age 75, as well. Contact a trusted agent or website to shop around and get your most competitive price.
