While life insurance does not test directly for cancer, the blood or urine test can reveal labs that might point to cancer. Total blood count (showing excessively high or low white or red blood cell counts) would be the most obvious, but abnormal liver labs or even high protein in the urine could be examples of other tests that COULD indicate cancer. That is why, if labs are abnormal, insurance companies will often postpone until you can get a diagnosis for those results. Once the condition is treated, they will pick up where they left off.
