    Yes. To be eligible for Medicare when you have a green card, but are not yet a U.S. citizen, you must have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 continuous years and you've met your 40 quarters of working life in the U.S. and paying FICA taxes. If you don't meet the work requirement, you may be able to get Part A, but likely have to pay the Part A premium. If each condition is met, you should be eligible for premium-free Part A.
