    Medicare and other health insurance policies will cover blepharoplasty surgery if there is a medical need for corrective surgery.

    Blepharoplasty is sometimes done for cosmetic reasons. In those cases, surgery would not be covered by Medicare.

    Your opthalmologist will measure the degree of eyelid droop and can advise you if surgery would be covered by Medicare or not.
