    Most DME (durable medical equipment) is covered by Medicare Part B.

    As for most DME's, you must have a medical necessity for the equipment as certified by your doctor.

    After you have paid your Part B deductible, Medicare will pay 80% of the allowed amount for a hospital bed and you pay the remaining balance. You should use a Medicare approved supplier that takes assignment to lower your OOP costs.
