    In some cases you may qualify for a covered gastric bypass under Medicare.

    Your doctor must attest that you are morbidly obese and other methods of weight loss have not been effective. Surgery can be an option if you are otherwise healthy enough to survive the surgery.

    If you are under 65 and morbidly obese you may qualify for SSDI and Medicare.
