The key to finding a good renters policy is to find a good insurance agent.  If you don’t have a trusted agent, get referrals from friends colleagues or neighbors.  A good agent will listen to you, offer sound financial advice and communicate clearly with you and the insurance company.  Selecting the limits of the policy is critical.  This is where the agent will earn his commission.  If you have a loss and the coverage is inadequate, nothing else matters.
