    Most of the U.S.
    Medicare will pay for blood work that is medically necessary to diagnose or monitor disease. If this is done on an inpatient basis, Part A covers it. If done on an outpatient basis, Part B covers it. Advantage plans have their own rules but must offer at least what Part A and Part B cover.

    Preventative blood tests are not covered by Medicare.
