You can get life insurance online or from a life insurance agency in your city. Some applications can be filled out with an agent, signed digitally, and go into effect within days. Others can be submitted by a paper application, have an exam done in your home, and may take several months for underwriting to be completed and the policy to go into effect. Having a helpful life insurance agent and case manager can make a big difference in how satisfactory your life insurance experience turns out.

As Peggy said, you can get insurance from a number of places. I always recommend that you obtain life insurance from a local Insurance Adviser who can broker several different companies and help you to compare companies and policies. There is a lot that goes into making the right choice for the insurance that will meet your goals and needs. In my experience most people don't have any idea of the various benefits that life insurance can offer...if you make the right choice! Find an Insurance Adviser that can educate you on the differences, advantages and drawbacks of the different policies available then help you to implement the right one for you.
