To buy life insurance online, you want to be certain that you are working with a reputable agency. Look at their "About Us" information to see if they have concrete contact information, some staff listed, testimonials, Better Business Rating, etc. If you start with a good agency, the rest will take care of itself.

You can review quotes by playing around with online quote engines. Some will allow you to see the quote instantly and input different face amounts and variables. But keep in mind that no quoter can cover all the details, so you will need to call the agency (or at least email back and forth a few times) to get an accurate quote. Starting out with the right quote and company will save you lots of time and frustration.

When it is time to apply, some applications are done totally online. Some are done partially online and partially by phone with the carrier. Some are paper applications that you can fax or mail back. Your agent will guide you to the one that works best for you and helps you reach the outcome of your best price.

Once the underwriting process is over, you will receive word of your approval. In our agency, we allow you to make changes to the policy at that time, if you like, so that you end up with the exact policy and price that you want. Each online life insurance site is different, but you will end up with a policy that is just like you would have gotten from a brick and mortar shop.
