    I am not clear as to what you are referring. If the check is a refund sure you can keep and cash the check. If the check was for a claim and you are choosing to keep the money and not fix the repairs keep this in mind. The insurance provider in good faith gave you money to fix the repair. You in turn in good faith are expected to complete the repair. If you do not repair the vehicle and down the road an incident occurs in the area of damage your claim will be denied due to pre existing damage that was not repaired.
