    A veteran needs Long Term Care Insurance if he/she does not want to utilize long term health care provided by the Veterans Administration. This may be due to location or some other bias the veteran has about receiving VA medical care. Or a veteran might want Long Term Care Insurance in case he/she cannot qualify for full benefits or full compensation for care offered by the VA.
