The short answer is yes, you can switch your medicare supplement policy at any point in the year. The catch though is getting approved for the new plan. If you are over 65 and do not have a special enrollment condition you will need to pass a medical underwriting process for the new plan to accept you, this usually does not require a physical exam. If you are looking to change plans I highly recommend working with an expert licensed insurance agent who can help match you up with a company that will give you the best price for your situation.

You can switch your Medicare Supplement any time you want to and as often as you want to. In most states you may not be able to switch your Medicare Supplement if you have any serious pre-existing health conditions. Insurance companies that offer Medicare Supplements can turn you down because of the pre-existing condition or could charge you a much higher premium to cover the pre-existing condition.
