In order to have home health care paid for by Medicare, you must be receiving certain services ordered by a doctor, the home health agency providing the care must be Medicare approved, and you must be certified as homebound by your doctor. Being homebound means that leaving home isn't recommended due to your condition, you need assistance such as a walker to leave home, or it takes considerable and taxing effort to leave home. You are allowed to go to doctor appointments and some short jaunts like religious services.
