Life insurance does not specifically test for the presence of Adderall in the blood, but the life insurance application for a medically underwritten policy will ask what medications you are taking. Taking Adderall for ADHD will not affect your rate too much, as long as you are able to hold down a job and lead a normal life with your Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. If you are taking Adderall for narcolepsy or other causes, just be sure to explain on the application what it is for and how controlled that condition is. Something explained is much better than something omitted or left to the imagination, when applying for life insurance.
