Almost all states within the United States of America require some level of auto insurance coverage. Typically the required coverage is liability, property damage, and uninsured motorist. Liability insurance typically covers the medical expenses of persons not in your vehicle that are injured due to an accident that you are deemed responsible for and property damage typically covers property that is damaged in an accident that you are deemed responsible for. Uninsured motorist typically provides coverage (possibly less your deductible ) for you and the other passengers in your vehicle and your vehicle in the event that you are involved in an accident and the person responsible for the accident does not have any insurance coverage.
