By GST I'm assuming you are referring to Canadian Good's and Services Tax. If this is the case, the answer is no. As of current legislation Canadian Goods and Services Tax does not apply to life insurance purchases.
Ontario, however, does add a provincial sales tax to life insurance transactions.
