    Non qualified tax deferred annuities can be exchanged to another non qualified tax deferred annuity via section 1035 of the IRA code without a taxable event. Keep in mind that non qualified tax deferred annuities cannot be exchanged to a qualified annuity or vise versa. The 1035 rule exchange is a powerful tax advantage.
