Your auto insurance company can deny your claim, although most claims tend to be approved.

For example, if you fraudulently filed a claim, or attempted to recover damages on a vehicle that you did not drive or own, surely, the claim would be denied.

If you pet was attempting to drive your vehicle and hit a stop sign, then don't expect a check from your insurer.

When in doubt, an experienced broker can explain the entire claims process, how long it takes and what the likely outcome is going to be.

An insurance policy is a legal contract.  It obligates the company to pay for damages caused by specified events or perils.  If your loss meets the legal requirements, your claim will be paid.  Getting the claim paid is not the “rub” for most customers.  The problem that occurs is that they are often forced to pay to repair their own car when they felt that someone else was at fault.  Determining fault is a major issue.
