An individual with a suspended license can purchase auto insurance. Generally the intent is so the individual can regain his or her license. The other option is the individual has other members in the household that operate a motor vehicle. If this is the case the owner of the policy can purchase the insurance  and exclude themselves as an operator thereby allowing the residents in the household to drive the vehicles. The residents of the household will be required to be added to the policy as operators.

That is a great question! You are in a tough place. Most insurance companies are going to be very hesitant to insure you while your license is suspended, and depending upon the reason why it is suspended, insuring you at all. You may be able to find a company that will write you a provisional or probationary policy that will be dependent upon you completing the requirements of the suspension, but I can not warn you strongly enough about the incredibly bad decision it would be should you choose to drive either on your suspended license, or without insurance. Please don't. Good luck, and thanks for asking!
