    No. Comprehensive insurance is not the same as uninsured motorist coverage. Comprehensive insurance provides coverage for acts of vandilism, theft, and acts of nature typically. Uninsured motorist coverage is an optional coverage in some states and provides coverage for an accident where you are not at fault and the at fault part does not have insurance coverage.
